ROBERTO CLEMETE'S EXCLUSIVE NEW ERA 59FIFTY CAP

-Limited Edition Cap Designed By Sons To Benefit The Roberto Clemente
Foundation-

DERBY, NY (July 11, 2006) - New Era Cap Co., Inc., the premier, global
headwear designer, developer and manufacturer, unveiled its latest
"Capture the Flag" 59Fifty baseball cap honoring the late Hall of Famer
Roberto Clemente at the 77th Major League Baseball All-Star Game in
Pittsburgh, PA. The limited edition caps were designed by Luis and
Roberto Clemente Jr. with proceeds benefiting the Roberto Clemente
Foundation.

The limited edition caps will retail for $210 and will be available in
August 31st at PNC Park, NewEraCap.com, MLB.com, New Era New York and
select domestic and global retailers.

As a baseball icon, Clemente played his entire 18-year career with the
Pittsburgh Pirates where he amassed two World Championships, four
National League batting titles, 12 consecutive gold gloves, one National
League Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, a World Series MVP and the 11th
player to reach the 3000 hit mark to became the first Latino to be
inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame.

While many have recognized Clemente's achievement on the field, his
philanthropic work and dedication to helping others in his native Puerto
Rico and other Latin American countries was an even bigger part of his
legacy. Clemente spent much of the off-season working to improve the
lives of people in need before he died in a plane crash en route to
Nicaragua where he was attempting to deliver much needed earthquake
relief in 1972.

Clemente's New Era 59Fifty cap is a retrospective of his prolific
baseball career. The front of the black cashmere cap will feature a
gold image of Clemente with his hand over his heart flanked by four
silver bats denoting his four National League batting titles and a gold
outline of his number 21 encasing the 12 gold gloves he won. The side
panels will showcase his membership in the 3,000 Hit Club and his two
World Series Rings along with the Pittsburgh Pirates logo. The back
panel pays homage to the two World Series trophies he helped to win and
his Hall of Fame plaque. Inside the cap, there is gold piping with the
inscription "In Honor of Roberto Clemente."

"It is only fitting that we honor the great Roberto Clemente with a
Capture the Flag cap while we celebrate Major League Baseball's All-Star
Game in Pittsburgh," said New Era's Vice President of Global Marketing
John DeWaal. "We were thrilled to work with the Clemente Family to make
this cap a reality and are confident all baseball fans will appreciate
its meaningful design."
