Aloha kākou!
We present to you the eighth release from our Fall 2014 Delivery One Collection, entitled “We Forward In This Generation.” Based on Bob Marley’s inspiring lyrics, we interpret the meaning as “adaptation through change.” Through special textiles and new designs, as well as a few classics from our archive, we strive to showcase Hawaiʻi’s ability to assimilate and move forward through the multitude of changes within its existence. May we move forward in this generation, and may we move forward in each generation to come.
HIProfile Floral Preme 59FIFTY
Featuring rich cracked leather on the visor, with our HIProfile Floral pattern etched on both sides. The crown is made of black melton wool, while the embroidery on the front, sides and back are stitched in white. The Scottish landscape painting by Princess Kaʻiulani is featured on the inner satin liner.
Forward Generation Tee – Navy
A brand new design, representing two Hawaiian leaders and a major change that occurred at the time. The left mahiole and kahili represent King Kaumualiʻi and his rule over Kauaʻi and Niʻihau, while the right mahiole and kahili represent Kamehameha the Great and his rule over the rest of the Hawaiian Islands. Rather than resort to bloodshed, Kaumualiʻi decided to make the smartest decision for himself and his people and negotiate a peaceful resolution. The islands then became united as one, moving forward as the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, under one rule.
Honoluluan Tank Top – Navy
One of our classic designs brought back on a navy tank top with colors that tie back to the Fall collection. From the original concept when it first released, “Honoluluan” is a term that was used in earlier tourist boom days, applied to urban Honolulu and its residents. A big change from the lush mountains and valleys of early Hawaiʻi.
