Aloha kākou!
This Saturday, we’re releasing two new FITSTRIKE Slaps Wind hats and a new tee design in two colorways. Both the Slaps Wind snapback and Slaps Wind curved visor strapback feature black bases with yellow, black, and white front embroidery outlined in metallic gold. Both side logos are tonal black, while the back crests are yellow and black, and the snapback also features a white snap enclosure. The new Gropius design is inspired by the work of German architect, Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus School and one of the foremost pioneers of modernist architecture. The design is printed on either a white or purple tee.
From Ola:
“The mind is like an umbrella—it functions best when open.“ – Walter Gropius
The Bauhaus movement began in 1919 when Walter Gropius founded a school with a vision of bridging the gap between art and industry by combining crafts and fine arts. Bauhaus, which means “Building a House,” included all disciplines of art, design, and architectural education and lead to inform and develop subsets of design such as typography, art, architecture, graphic design, interior design and industrial design. The Bauhaus style is embedded within and is the inspiration of this release, with our own tribute to cultural iconography, our trilock gets the Bauhaus treatment. While dipping into typography inspired by the great Dutch designer Wim Crouwel, Aloha Served Daily remains the mindset!
