Aloha kākou!
Tomorrow's release keeps things simple with the return of one of the most recognizable patterns within the FITTED archive.
Long before it became a recurring pattern across our tees, headwear, accessories, and an essential part of our identity, the Trilock was rooted in the triangle. Within our visual language, those triangular forms have often referenced the teeth of the niuhi. These niuhi were the sharks that have long carried significance throughout Hawaiʻi. In past collections, we've taken those same forms and repeated, layered, enlarged, and reworked them into something that has become distinctly FITTED.
But the strength of the Trilocks has always been in the repetition.
One triangle on its own is simple. Put hundreds, thousands, and millions together, they become something entirely different. A pattern. A structure. A collective.
It's a fitting idea for Hawaiʻi, and one that has continued to resonate with us over the years.
For this release, we return the Trilocks to one of their purest forms. A field of repeating black triangles stretches across the front of an ARMY tee, allowing the pattern itself to carry the piece. No oversized branding. No complicated story to decipher. Just a FITTED staple that has been part of our design language for years.
Sometimes revisiting the archive isn't about bringing something back.
It's about remembering why it never really left.
