Our Spring 2014 D2 “Legacy” Collection continues this weekend with the following releases, based off memorable designs from our past.
“Home Grown” Bucket Hat
Originally released in 2009 with a white base, we are bringing the "Home Grown" pattern back on a private label bucket hat, this time on a black base. The pattern is an homage to the cult classic “Home Grown” compilation album from 1977.
“Home Grown” Tee – Banana
Like the bucket hat above, the type treatment on this tee is a nod to the “Home Grown” album from 1977, and features the floral pattern fill from our 2009 release on a banana colored shirt. The saying “Home Grown” is also a proud statement for those that are loyal to their soil. The back features a large crown filled with the same floral pattern.
“Kill Them With Aloha” Tee – Black
To round out this week’s release, we are bringing back our military-inspired “Kill Them With Aloha” tee, which was also originally released in 2009. The front features the “Kill Them With Aloha” slogan in white, with a large white crown on the back outlined in red. The left sleeve features our kahili logo in red, while the right sleeve features “116th Battalion Hawaii” also in red, as a military-inspired moniker. The “116” is also a nod to our official yellow Pantone color. Yellow kalo (taro) lau (leaves) adorn the bottom left of the tee, acting as achievement insignia.
