Releasing this Saturday, October 4th, at FITTED (in-store and online) and Blue Hawaii Surf.
Aloha kākou!
The final piece from our Waiʻaleʻale collection is set to drop this Saturday, and it marks a new milestone for us as our very first cut and sew bottom. Engineered from our own specifications, we’ve built this hybrid walk short with premium materials and scrutinized over every last detail. This custom silhouette is named ʻAʻama, inspired by the crabs you see along most rocky shorelines in Hawaii. The ʻaʻama lives both in and around the water, which perfectly mimics the functionality of our hybrid walk short, combining the look and style of an outdoor walk short but built with the ocean in mind.
The material used is a lightweight polyester/spandex blend, featuring 4-way stretch for maximum flexibility and comfort. For everyday use, we kept the standard four pockets (two front and two back) but we also added a mesh lining within the pockets for water and sand drainage as it transitions into the ocean. The back right pocket also features an elastic key loop, commonly found on boardshorts. Belt loops were added to keep the walk short functionality, and we’ve also added a drawstring waistline, which pulls from around the waist similar to sweatpant drawstrings, rather than the eyelet lacing style of traditional boardshorts. It also features a waterproof reverse zipper and velcro closure system. Small details are seen throughout, like the drawstring aglets which feature a black and white trilock print, metallic silver logo and custom care instructions on the inner waistline, and our Mil-Spec patch on the right seam.
The Waiʻaleʻale ʻAʻama Hybrid Walk Short will be available this Saturday exclusively at FITTED (in-store and online) and at Blue Hawaii Surf.

Please note, the Waiʻaleʻale ʻAʻama Hybrid Walk Short fits true to size but we recommend getting one size larger with the option of using the adjustable drawstring for a more personalized fit.
