Aloha.Quick update, another new tee has arrived, fresh off the press. This time around we took it back to 1985 with the exemplary movie that sort of helped push Hip-Hop into mainstream America & pop culture, Krush Groove. Of course we had to flip it into our own, dropped an ‘R’ off the letters and you’ve got “Kush Groove.” No explanations needed, right? If you do, use Google.
About a month ago we released our first ever women’s tees (the Bangles, logo tee and Tri-lock) which had a really great response. We’re back yet again with a new design specifically for you. Dubbed “The Long Kiss Goodnight,” this original design draws inspiration from the 1996 superior thriller film of the same name which starred Samuel L. Jackson & Geena Davis. One could also reference the song with the same name from Biggie’s quintessential LP, “Life After Death.” Printed on black, this design is hand drawn in red with a white stroke and a pair of lips. “Kuli Kuli” is a turn of phrase that may not be as prevalent to hear these days, but it’s one that was uttered in almost any local house hold back in the hanabata days. Roughly translated, it means to “Cool it / Be quiet / Keep still.” To put it simply, it was used as an effortless way to tell one to “Shut up”, kindly. Moving on to the product, we have available a white t-shirt with a mouth piece (red reflective) printed on the front with the word “Kuli Kuli” in gray (reflective) resting on the inside, crown on the back. Aloha All,We have a new t-shirt and another Estate LA collaboration. The shirt, printed on an all black pocket tee is dubbed “Mathematics” which features the latitude and longitude of Hawaii printed on the front left pocket and the Fitted crest which pinpoints our island’s location. The back sees the crown hit, Simple and Clean But Very effective. On to the Estate LA collab, we revisited the SHAKA hat from ‘07, this time in an all black denim and tonal hit. The front, for those who may not remember features the shaka and FITTED which rests beneath that. With a Red underbill this really sets it off.
