Releasing in-store, online, and at select stockists this Saturday, July 19th, 2014.
Aloha kākou!
We proudly present to you the final release of our Summer 2014 “Perception” Delivery 1 collection. With three new patterns (Maiʻa, Vanquish, and Kālā Pepa) as our foundation, we explore the perception of Hawaii from the outside looking in as well as the inside looking out.
We'd like to send out a big MAHALO to everyone that supported our Summer 2014 Delivery 1 Collection, wether it be from our brick and mortar shop, our online shop, or one of our many great stockists. We will see you all soon for our Summer 2014 Delivery 2 Collection!
MAIʻA
A bright floral pattern that embodies the look of the classic aloha shirts found at Dukeʻs Lane, the popular open market spot where tourists would go to find loud and cheap aloha shirts. It acts as a representation of the outside perception of Hawaii in the mid 1900’s, being a bright and colorful tourist attraction.
KĀLĀ PEPA
A collage of early Hawaiian bank notes that used to be in circulation. “Kālā pepa” refers to the brief history of the Hawaiian currency and how it represents not only the transition from the barter system but how a rich and prolific culture succumbed to the imperialistic mentality that dominated the times.
Maiʻa Aloha 59FIFTY
All over sublimated Maiʻa pattern on a full satin 59FIFTY. Features deep ocean blue embroidery all around, with a white outline on the back crest.
Maiʻa ʻAina Velcro Strapback
The crown is black satin with all black embroidery and a mango top button. The top of the visor is done in cork with black maile embroidery, while the undervisor is a rich topaz suede. The inside liner features the Maiʻa pattern on satin. Also features a special black satin Velcro strap with the words “ASD-116” stitched on.
Kālā Pepa Who The Crown Fits Tee – Black
Our standard logo on a black tee with Kala Pepa fill and white crown on the back.
One Speed Tee – Arctic Gray
Bringing back our classic One Speed design from years ago in white and topaz on an arctic gray tee. This design shows that contrary to the perception of being stuck on an island and behind on ideas and development, we actually provide the lane between east and west, north and south; and with our “mix plate” of cultures, beliefs, and inspiration, we can race with the best of them.
Escape To Paradise Tank Top – Topaz
Our classic Escape to Paradise ode to tourism marketing as well as a slight nod to Carlitoʻs Way, where the phrase was taken from. The design sits on a topaz tank top with a white crown on the back.
Pacific Standard Raglan – Heather Charcoal/Navy
The double entendre of our Hawaii Standard Time zone as well as our belief that what we do at FITTED sets the standard here in Hawaii. Features our Pacific Standard logo on the front left chest and a small white crown on the upper back with “Aloha Served Daily” written underneath in orange. Large navy palm trees on both sides complete the look.
