Aloha kākou!
We present to you the fifth release of our Summer 2014 “Perception” Delivery 2 collection. Utilizing the same three patterns from Delivery 1 (Maiʻa, Vanquish, and Kālā Pepa) in bolder, darker colors, we continue to explore the perception of Hawaii from the outside looking in as well as the inside looking out.

MAIʻA
A bold floral pattern that embodies the look of the classic aloha shirts found at Dukeʻs Lane, the popular open market spot where tourists would go to find loud and cheap aloha shirts. It acts as a representation of the outside perception of Hawaii in the mid 1900’s, being a bright and colorful tourist attraction.

KĀLĀ PEPA
A collage of early Hawaiian bank notes that used to be in circulation. “Kālā pepa” refers to the brief history of the Hawaiian currency and how it represents not only the transition from the barter system but how a rich and prolific culture succumbed to the imperialistic mentality that dominated the times. In Delivery 2, we focus on darker “blood money” imagery for this concept.

Maiʻa H Pride Strapback
This H Pride features a bold new look, split between the front and back. The front four panels of the crown are made with CoolMax fabric—featuring specially engineered moisture management to help keep you cool and dry—while the back two panels feature a sublimated Maiʻa pattern printed on satin. It also features a rich red suede visor and top button, along with a brown leather strap and brass buckle. Logos and eyelets are embroidered in white while the crown panels and visor feature contrasted blue stitching. To complete the look we’ve added our Pacific Standard label to the left of the strap.

Kālā Pepa Mua Snapback
The entire hat is covered with our Kālā Pepa pattern in blood red, printed on a fabric that mimics those used for bank bags, which further enhances the "kālā" theme. All embroideries are black along with the snap enclosure and top button. The satin liner features the Friend or Foe artwork we've used in the past, depicting the old ways of Hawaiian law-keeping.

One Speed Tee – Black
Bringing back our classic One Speed design from years ago in clear gel and red ink on a black tee. This design shows that contrary to the perception of being stuck on an island and behind on ideas and development, we actually provide the lane between east and west, north and south; and with our “mix plate” of cultures, beliefs, and inspiration, we can race with the best of them.
