This pack is a homage to the genesis of Hawai'i's equivalent to the San Francisco Gold Rush, when immigrants started making the trek to our islands in search of work, eventually ending up tending to the booming sugar cane industry. The blood, sweat and tears spilled while relentlessly breaking their backs, attending to the acres of cane fields under the scorching hot Hawaiian sun. Releasing tomorrow, Oct. 5thAloha kakou!We've christened tomorrow's release Ho'ohele, whose literal translation is "to cause to move, to set in motion; to start." Basically, the message is movement which ties back to Hawaiian culture. Hawaiians traveled by canoe and navigated by using their extensive knowledge of the stars. Even when on land, our ancestors were constantly moving: working and tending to the land, hunting, gathering, marching to war, etc. etc. The action of moving is always a good thing, whether physical or mental; especially mental. As the old saying goes, "An idle mind is the Devil's playground." There's also a slight nod to one of our favorite groups, New Order; see if you can guess where the inspiration is from.The...
Releasing tomorrow, October 2ndAloha kakou!Tomorrow's release is a logo tee dubbed Trinity as in the trinity of colors: red, gold and green. In rasta philosophy, the red represents the blood of the Original People who inhabited Earth before the Caucasians as well as the blood spilled while warring with our oppressors, the green represents the land that we live off and the gold is a representation of all the stolen gold which belonged to the Original People. The back of the tee features a tonal crown. Releasing alongside the logo tee is a custom Kamehameha with colors that tie back into the shirt; the name we've given this one is Bless Up. Another release for tomorrow, Friday, August 13thAloha kakou!Along with our collaboration with Cukui, we'll be releasing another pack: The General pack. The pack consists of a custom Kamehameha (all green with all orange brim, orange button, white Kamehameha and white eyelets), and per normal, is very limited in sizes! Up next is our General tee: all white with a Fitted football helmet (orange / green / white) on the front; backside is the number 50 for the 50th state in green / orange / white.
