Releasing Thursday, June 11th.June 11th marks a special occasion filled with a sense of pride and sincerity, dedicated to the Napoleon of the Pacific, our late-great King Kamehameha whom we all know conquered and unified our islands. King Kamehameha Day was established by Kamehameha's great grandson, King Kamehameha V in 1871, whereas the first observance of this state holiday was celebrated the following year. Governor William F. Quinn also announced Kamehameha as a state holiday when Hawai'i attained statehood in 1959. While some may argue this statement, we'll counter-attack that argument with this: Our state is comprised of some of the most diverse ethnic nationalities / backgrounds in the World, and with decades of cross ethnic marriages, has in turn delivered us our beautiful, exotic wahine. It's a testament to the real, untouched Hawai'i and definitely not as nearly over developed as it is in town. Almost everywhere you look, you can reach out & touch a piece of the old Hawai'i: from the historical scenery in old Haleiwa to the plantation fields sprawled across the many acres that covers the North Shore.
