Aloha Kakou.Another month, another day. Keeping it stepping; the work day it never ends. Quick heads up, we’ve got a new release this Saturday. We’ve been running our tri-lock patterns here and there, making it pretty recognizable now. This release is no different (crew favorite), well there’s a slight twist to it. Printed on a black tee, both sides features the tri-lock pattern remixed into a circle with a colorful palette with teal, orange, yellow, and white. Just remember, keep those squares out of your winner’s circle! See you all at the next release.
Aloha. Our elders. They’re our infinite guiding light of wisdom & knowledge acquired from previous generations and passed on to the youth. Our elders have experienced and gone through the same adversities and achievements that us younger generations may have recently gone through, or perhaps not even come across yet. It’s habitual for our parents or grandparents to naturally pass these generations of knowledge on to the keiki and although we may not notice it, we absorb every drop of wisdom in our mental. To salute the one’s that came before us, we’ve put together a t-shirt + custom Fitted combo pack. This pocket tee is printed on all black and features a white Hawaiian quilt-esque pattern on the pocket. The back...
Aloha.By now many of you know where most of our inspiration for designing comes from. We’re perpetually surrounded by these guiding lights of motivation, influence, artistry, vision and originality – yet we’re so absorbed in it day-to-day that we unconsciously do not acknowledge it. With this release, the ingenuity reaches from within our zealousness of music. This release’s attributes are pulled from the funk music collective the Parliament Funk Band which was governed by the great George Clinton. For those uneducated in the genre of “funk music,” the Parliament (P-Funk) were also known as The Funkadelics which featured the same members, but recorded for different record labels. The Parliament-Funkadelics played a heavy role in the direction that funk music took,...
Aloha.Although skateboarding had it’s humble beginnings in the ‘70s, it became a little more fashionable and picked up it’s mass appeal in the ‘80s. This is when it started picking up as a sort of lifestyle, and more skaters were inclined to hit certain street spots versus the slopes of backyard pools, concrete skateparks and banks. Flat ground became more prevalent with certain key revitalizations & innovations such as urethane wheels, different board sizes & shapes as well as truck sizes. This generation of skaters had a more care free, do-it-yourself outlook on things, which made an easier progression in street and vert tricks. Skaters such as Steve Caballero, The Gonz, Mike Vallely, Natas Kaupas and Tony Hawk kept reinventing...
Vision. Visual perception. Eye sight. It just might be one of the most important out of our 5 (traditional) senses that we take for granted on a day to day basis. Vision helps us to interpret objects in our immediate surroundings. One could say it’s akin to photography, in the sense that we take mental snapshots of our existing environment and assimilate and process that into visual information. Call it the Tao of human senses; with a slight twist of Yin and Yang. This leads us into our newest package: “Gotta Have Vision” The pack consists of a pocket-tee which features an optical illusion-esque design on the back, with FITTED printed in tonal tri-lock patterned boxes; some of the images are...
