HOMEBREAK x ALI'I KAMEHAMEHA NEW ERA

Releasing this Saturday, May 30th.Aloha. We're proud to announce that the release of our long-awaited project with Kekoa Cazimero finally has a release date on the horizon. Here's a short bio for those unversed in Koa's history: Born and raised on the East side of O'ahu (Waimānalo to be specific), Koa graduated from Kaiser High School as valedictorian in 2007 and since the start of his surfing career, has won 5 state titles. Many of Cazimero's (he also bears relations to The Brothers Cazimero) first waves were caught at Cockroach Bay (Baby Makapu'u); these days however, you can catch Koa at either of his two favorite breaks: Sandy's or [Ala Moana] Bowls. Dubbed the "Ambassador of Aloha" (via ESPN), Kekoa...

LIGHT OF KNOWLEDGE x KAM NEW ERA

Out today.Knowledge 101: The Sun accounts for nearly 99% of our solar system's mass, and although nearly 93,000,000 miles away from Earth, produces Light which travels this exact distance at approximately 8 minutes and 9 seconds. The mass energy produced from the Sun (sunlight) is what accounts for almost all life supported on Earth. Case in point: plant life is supported through photosynthesis. Besides supporting life on Earth and giving light to the nine other planets in our solar system, the Sun produces Vitamin D which is great for your skin (in lesser amounts, obviously) and yields some intoxicating, jaw-dropping sunrises and sunsets. The relevancy to this new pack? Shadows. Our Sun casts "human visible shadows when its apparent magnitude is...

It's akin to a cypher, which really means an encompassing 360 degree circle that comes back full. To break it down metaphorically: we, as...

HOME GROWN

Aloha.Pull up a chair & have a seat. Pay close attention. Class is in session. Let’s briefly discuss the Hawaiian Renaissance (also known as the Hawaiian Cultural Renaissance) which was an reawakening or revival, if you will, of our contrasting Hawaiian cultural character and distinctiveness during the early ‘70s. Contemporary Hawaiian music artists such as Gabby “Pops” Pahinui (of Sons Of Hawaii fame) helped play an integral role in this cultural movement / resurgence. With this renaissance, there was a reasserted curiosity and interest in pidgin, Hawaiian language, Hula, Hawaiian studies & traditional Hawaiian arts. Before this enlightening cultural rejuvenation, there was the Merrie Monarch Festival (which they still run to this day) established by George Na’ope. The Merrie Monarch...
